How Does it Work?

We have the original catalytic converter theft deterrent system. Thieves are stealing catalytic converters because it is quick & easy. We have proven on the streets of the largest cities, that if you make stealing the converter very difficult, thieves are not going to take the time to steal them.

Introducing the CATCLAMP^TM. The CATCLAMP^TM is an American made anti-theft device that will virtually eliminate the theft of catalytic converters. It is designed to make it more work to remove the converter (even with an electric saw) than it is worth to resell on the black market. Thus, eliminating the 2 minute grab and go that is affecting vehicles worldwide.

How does it work? The CATCLAMP^TM essentially creates a cage around the catalytic converter. Two alloy collars lock at both ends of the converter. Special aircraft cable then runs between the collars making a cage around the converter. That same aircraft cable then locks the whole unit to the vehicle frame. The aircraft cable is almost impossible to cut without using industrial machines thus creating too much work for a thief in a hurry. The CATCLAMP^TM will not affect the function of the catalytic converter. It can easily be installed with one specially designed tool (included free) in 20 - 30 minutes without drilling, cutting or welding.
